Their Michelin star restaurant was some of the best food I've tried and every dish compliments the following so well. "After three visits — with two more already booked — it’s safe to say this property remains one of our absolute favorites! Pre-Arrival: Thoughtful, Personalized Service About a month before arrival, the Grand Velas team reached out proactively to confirm our flights, transportation, restaurant reservations, and any special requests. Their communication is warm, attentive, and detailed. By the time we landed, everything had already been taken care of. Arrival & Check-In: Seamless and Stunning Check-in at Grand Velas Los Cabos is as effortless as it is breathtaking. Guests are escorted to chairs overlooking the ocean and offered welcome drinks (champagne for adults and juices for kids). Staff members handle the formalities for you, allowing you to relax from the moment you arrive (you do have to briefly give them your passports for photocopying – it’s Mexican law). During the check-in process you are introduced to your personal concierge — a hallmark of the Grand Velas experience. Over our visits, each concierge we’ve had - Josue, Natalia, and Elisa - have been exceptional: warm, knowledgeable, and consistently proactive. Fitness Center: Impressive and Well-Managed The gym is large, clean, and well stocked with cardio and strength equipment. While the gym is popular, it never feels overcrowded. Shout out to the guy who manages the gym – he is always welcoming, keeps the space clean and tidy, and ensures water and towels are readily available. If management is reading this – one suggestion is to add more treadmills! In the busier morning hours they tend to all be occupied. Bonus points for getting a few Peloton bikes. Pools & Poolside Experience The resort’s pools three pools are beautiful. The first pool (closest to the beach) is adults only, and the other two are for anyone. There are ample umbrellas/shade. The pool side service is awesome – shout out to Alexis, Omar, Isabel, and all the other staff who are super helpful and attentive. As other reviewers note, there is lots of ‘reserving’ of pool chair (eg, people placing a bottle of sunscreen at 6am!), which can be annoying. So if you are trying to find a group of pool chairs for your family of 9, this may be an issue. We never had an issue finding two chairs together, and staff members are always willing to help ensure guests have chairs together. Kids Club: Engaging and Enriching With two kids (7 and 9), the kids club is another reason we keep returning. They have a new activity every hour spanning from pool games to crafts to foam parties! Unlike other kids clubs, they aren’t confined to one room where it’s more of a ‘babysitting’… our kids constantly talk about how the teachers really play with the kids. Shout out to Alejandra who was in the kids club for our first visit and still remembers them! We love that the kids club is open late so we can eat at the adults-only restaurants. In the evenings they set up a big outdoor screen, along with chairs / blankets / snacks so the kids can watch movies “under the stars” – its adorable. Shout out to Carla and Francesca and all the other teachers who I can’t recall your names! Spa: Truly World-Class – don’t skip the water ceremony! The Spa at Grand Velas is SO BEAUTIFUL. The water ceremony experience is so cool, a must do if you want to relax. We’ve had massages during each visit and the therapist are awesome and the whole experience is so relaxing. Yes, this is a glowing review (because it truly is a GREAT place), but no place is perfect… so here’s my ‘wish-list’ to make it *that* much better: More hooks in the bathroom. With a family of 4, between bathing suits, gym clothes, wet towels, we need places to hang things! Extra treadmills in the gym. Bonus points for a Peloton bike ☺ During peak seasons, have a system for the concierge to ‘reserve’ pool chairs for their guests. This would negate the current issue of guests trying to self-reserve chairs before the sun rises!"

This truly is an unparalleled, luxury, family resort that blew us away at every juncture.
